Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer well-known for his unique mixture of soul gospel, R&B as well as R&B. Avery Sunshine has appeared on Broadway and in festivals throughout Europe as well as performing at Democratic National Convention. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. Though she lives in Atlanta, she originates from Chester Pennsylvania where she began music by performing as well as playing the piano at the church. In Atlanta, she attended Spellman College where her musical training began on the Atlanta's R&B Scene. In 2005, she became the pianist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. In 2007, Grammy and Tony Award-winning singer Jennifer Holliday sought her out to become the choral director for the theatrical production of Dreamgirls in the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine gained national recognition for her daily shows during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was invited to perform in the Obama administration's 2008 inauguration.
