Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her after her hometown. Michel Horowitz' father was editor and author and editor, as was Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder's parents have both been Jewish. Ryder believes herself to be Jewish. Ryder is the youngest sister of Uria who is half-sister to Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder's family moved from Mendocino County in California when she was 7 years old. In those days, there were no electric lights. Ryder, who read a lot at the age of 12 became a book worm due to the fact that Ryder did not have access to television. Ryder began taking acting classes when Ryder was 12years old and was enrolled in classes at the American Conservatory Theatre. Ryder landed her first film role on the big screen in 1986, at the age of 15 old. Ryder suffered bullying in her high school. Ryder hoped her career as an actress could bring about change. But, unfortunately, that didn't occur. It didn't stop her from making plans for her future. Her breakthrough came with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in the year 1988. Ryder was able to continue her successful performances in various films. She received nominations for two Academy Awards one for her performance in The Age of Innocence (1993).
