Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman. Buss is the sole owner of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association and currently serves as its president. A California native Buss was raised in an affluent family. Jerry Buss was her father. Jerry Buss started out as a realty tycoon and then later owned the Lakers. When her parents broke up in 1972, she was convinced that they'd left her. When she was 19 years old she joined the family's business as director of the Los Angeles Strings professional tennis team. Later, she founded in the Los Angeles Blades, a professional, roller-hockey club. Before becoming vice president for the Lakers in 2013, she was president of the Great Western Forum. Buss took over Lakers ownership Lakers through her father's estate in 2013. Five siblings of hers took over the franchise through an estate trust. Buss was elected president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is the owner of Women of Wrestling in Los Angeles the organization which promotes pro wrestling.
